I HEARD A RUMOR

Not sure if this is true:   I heard that there are places in the south that do not enjoy fall colors!   I can not imagine missing out on the beauty.  Not to mention the fun of raking leaves.

So here is a little bit of my fall color.

Bring a little color inside.   Fall is so beautiful, I can not imagine not having the joy of it, plus getting to rake leaves.

Catching my balance

Fall has a special beauty.  The colors are not to be found anyplace else.  No painter can paint them except God.

I am slowly getting my balance and wanting to get back to sewing and creating.  All summer I went through the motion of what summer should be.

I must admit, I am leaning heavily on you all.  I know some of you have been through so much more and landed on your feet.  Please share with me any tips you have found that helped you get there.

I really believe that one day this will once again be my paradise.  I do count my blessing everyday.  You all are part of that blessing.

Because of you Nana!

https://thenanadiana.blogspot.com/

I am going to start off today with her blog.  Nana, is the reason I have decided to get back to writing.

When hubby had his stroke in February, my whole life changed.  I had to re-learn life as it was no longer the same, nor will it ever be the same.

I didn't feel comfortable writing about him.  I now see that was a mistake because I sure can use the prayers.  He (Steve)  has make great progress and for that I am grateful.

I am getting back to sewing, reading blogs, reconnecting with friends and yes, now writing.

Today will be short and I hope sweet.  Just a way to get my feet wet!

I LOST FOCUS

                                                   OUR PARADISE

We have a walking trail that goes along the Columbia river.
There is a walking bridge over the river so you walk both sides of the river.
You can walk, or bike for as long as you like or as short as you like.  I like doing short walks, but my Grandson Cole visited and went all the way around it.  Poor guy, he really didn't know what he was in for, but he survived.

As night falls on paradise, you once again stop and give thanks for such beauty.

When I stop and look, really look at our amazing valley, I know what God means when he say's "be still and know that I am God"  psalms 46:10
So many Times God has shouted that out to me.  Sometimes even when he shows me.

LEARNING ABOUT APHASIA

                Living with hope!!

I have posted about Steve's stroke.  In some ways we are what you might call lucky.  Steve, has no physical impairment.  what it affected in his brain was the speech and to me the hardest of all comprehension.

so I have been missing and spending as much time as I can learning about aphasia.  It can be caused from a stroke, or trauma to the head.   The portion of the brain, used for speech has to be retrained.  So this is a long road.

Today, was speech therapy day and I think he did very well. Better then he did last week, at least to me.

I have a lot to learn, and it was mentioned today I might need to attend classes to learn how to be a therapist.
I really hope it does not come to that.

Now, you might be wondering what happen to the laundry space make over???? well, I ran into some problems there that I do not know how to solve.
